No, I might stop at August since by then the transition to the modern 4001 was complete. But who knows.....

Mark,

You have seen the MC FG bass that Brody has? The one with the P-Bass rout in it...

I assume you're referring to the one that's listed in the Ebay store. I decided that after buying the upcoming January 73 restoration from Marc S. that I was going to steer clear of butchered 4001's, the price is too high on that one anyway considering the amount of work and money it would take. I'm looking for a March 73 in mapleglo which is really going to be tough, fortunely there were a lot of FG's and MG's made. My goal is to have all the available colors represented from January to July(maybe Aug too), I've already got the tough ones like Azureglo, Eggplantglo, and White(refin). I'll also have a trans-burgundy(refin) which will show the other shade that was produced during that time. Walnut was available during that time but the odds of finding a 73 walnut with a March or August plate have got to be astronomical.

IIRC, This may be the one that Tony M. bought and sent back because of all the mold. I'm not 100% sure though.

I've never seen a '73 with all the goodies in Walnut or Autumnglo, but man would that be pretty.

Probably doesn't exist ( I am not an expert). But with Autumnglo phased out by then and Walnut being introduced that year, it probably came later in the year along with other "modern" post-transitional features.
