If I make a mistake at home while "performing" with my Rickenbacker, I can immediately go right back to it and perform again until I get it right. That wouldn't be an option with Hallie, the Vulcan chick, or Natalie

Hmmm how to put this?
Who says they're only staying for one "song"? Maybe they'll "practice" all night. If ya mess up you could always start the "song" over. Every "performer" makes mistakes. :D

Wink, wink, nudge, nudge, know what I mean, say no more!

Heaven help you, Aitch--are you sure you're in the right place, then?

I have a vague recollection of dreaming about Rics, but that was years ago, before I had so many.... Now most of my dream Rics are realities, and I can play them whenever I like.

....But I guess I can still dream about a 12-string Comstock, and a 370F, and a Jazzbo!

Definitely, Melibee..... it's only a phase. The "Fender" thing started when I began eating cheap caviar and drinking Bolivian champagne - best I get back to the good stuff, eh??

Geez, Aitch.... You'd better get some of your good Aussie triple-cream blue brie and some nice shiraz, and quickly before you slip off to the dark side!

I had a spate of TERRIBLE dreams when I was waiting for my first Ric to arrive. In these dreams my Jetglo 360V64 would spill out of its case and shatter into pieces on the ground or go crashing down stairs.

Not good.

Similar circumstances here as well whilst waiting for my 320(also my first Ric) to arrive after 2 weeks in transit from USA! I dreamt that when i opened the case ,it was a childs toy guitar. Scared the hell out of me!
As it turned out, it might have well been a toy guitar, as the 3/4 scale was way too small for me to play(with my panel beater hands!) Kept it for around 12 months then traded it up for a 360!
Perhaps it was a prophetic nightmare!!! :D

I remember about a year before i got my first Rick ,
a 360/12V64 back in 1989, i had a weird dream

I was out walking in the countryside and just came across it sitting up against the trees!

I couldn't believe it,who wouldn't!
So i take it home ,all amazed that i've got one for nothing ,and sits down to play it, and on the strike of the first chord it just sort of melts into weird shapes!

It ended up looking like one of Salvador Dali 's paintings!

I was distraught,
then woke up, and i was glad i did

I did have another dream a few years later
i just got my new Rick ,but when i opened the case it was huge!
It was like an 18/19" wide 360! in Fierglo ,but it was still the regular thickness! :)

i must admit that i had one sort of ric dream in recent weeks. - it went like this - i woke up and my barn was on fire and so i was guitarless. i am not sure if i was moaning or what but my wife elbowed me and it went away as i became rather quickly aware of my surroundings...

I've figured out now what kind of Ric dream i'd like to have in my life, please. Hugh Laurie (with a beard, of course) playing a Ric Jazzbo and singing Green Day's "Basket case" in chipmunk style.

I don't dream in years and I never even bothered to check what the exact year of my own 330 is.

Anyways, I dreamed I bought this 80s or 90s 330/12. It was white with black hardware (the real thing, not a faker), but with some weird mods, which didn't really affect the sound:

1. It had wood screws with round washers around the top and back, kind of like on Lindert guitars. I don't know the real reason why the previous owner did this, maybe the top (impossible in reality, but it was a dream) or back was coming off.

2. It had some of the wood around the output jack cut off, and had a tele type jack.

3. It had a small white pickguard with the controls, just covering the area where the control cavity would be.

At other times it seemed more like a regular Jetglo with chrome hardware, with the aforementioned screws, of course.
