I didn't get walnut wings on my '06 Monty 4003FL, but I prefer Monty Brown without the walnut wings because then it's not brown on brown.

I find the no wings look to look fine................until I see a with wings version. My BBR has no wings either. One day I will have a Ric Bass with wings.
Steve - still in process. Maybe I can have Dale add wings to it!?

I wonder if in 1973, people asked "where is the checkered binding?"
If they don't have little "transition" periods like this, we'll have nothing to discuss ad nauseum in twenty years!

It's possible that those wings are indeed walnut. Walnut isn't always the dark brown you're thinking it is.

True. I've always considered the "not brown" sap wood as scrap. I'm not saying RIC is using scrap wood though.
