Woooot!

My first introduction to Iron Maiden was the song Number of the Beast. I was hooked instantly.

Well, i have to say i loved Maiden in the day, Steve Harris was the main man !

The last album i bought was Seventh Son ,i had just moved on, musically speaking, after that .

But i still love to get the old albums out
My fav's are Powerslave,Live After death , Piece Of Mind, Number, and the first one, Iron Maiden.
That was when i was most fanatical about them, and where i have most of my fond memories,
I was 14 when Powerslave came out!

I've just bought Live After Death on dvd ,23 years after buying the video,and now i want a fender bass again!

Thanks, Joey. I've been looking in periodically, but not posting much. I've had a lot of time constraints (some good - we welcomed a new son last September), and I've read a lot of posts, but didn't chime in much. I'm not able to check in every day like before, but will do a lot of reading when I get a chunk of time available. I'm trying to post more again, too.

I have to confess that I was less than faithful to my Rick collection for a while, too - I got a new Stingray HS last year and played it to no end (The addition of the singlecoil second pickup and 5-way pickup selector made it so much more versatile than my old 'Ray). Happily, I'm back with my '00 mapleglo 4003 as my #1, and my original '94 4003 is in the shop for a tune up, after which it will be #1. I've been working to get a second band off the ground, too, with an old friend - hopefully that will work out.

I'm enjoying Sean's Denim and Leather section quite a bit. My musical tastes have changed over the years (as with most of us, I'd imagine), but Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, UFO, Blue Oyster Cult, etc., etc. - man, if you grew up in the 70s/80s in the Midwest, that stuff was IT. Thanks, Sean....

I play in a band with a couple of guys who are 8-9 years younger than me, and they missed that whole scene (although they're fluent in Rush). It's fun watching the old Iron Maiden videos with them when we're hanging out- some of the videos are cheezy, but the songs are so strong.

I saw Iron Maiden on the Killers tour.

i'd have to pick Piece of Mind as my favorite record from them. i can't believe i'm missing this tour...
