I am incredibly jealous Mr Trott!
Here's a question though - supposing by some hypothetical and cruel trwist of fate you had to choose one, and only one, that you could keep (all the others had to be given to Howard or something). Which one....?

Yes, that's a tough question Robert.
In third place I'd nominate the '60 335F with the white pickguards because it jangles beautifully; it's in excellent, original condition and because I never thought I'd own an F model. I stumbled upon it on gbase and took the plunge. The frets are pretty low though, rendering lead work difficult without a refret.
In second place is the '60 345F with the gold pickguards. It's got plenty of battle scars through years of being played and played and played. It has a wonderful acoustic ring to it and a really soft vibrato. The vintage fireglo finish is simply gorgeous, with deep reds and yellows.
First place goes to the '60 360 FG Capri. For me, it's iconic styling is unbeatable. Roger Rossmeissel's design work, with the sweeping pointed cutaways, triangle inlays and double binding, is truely classic. This guitar is in superb condition, the single coil toasters just scream and the neck has a profile which is just so easy to play. On top of this the story behind acquiring this guitar, and the unlikely sequence of events which led me to it, means that it holds a special place in my heart. Every time I see this guitar I still can't believe it's mine.

...well, I don't want to sound like I'm trying to blow sunshine up your skirt (oooooooOOOOOHHHHHHOOOoooo), but at the risk of momentarily highjacking the thread, I will say without hesitation Mr. Trott, that whenever I get to spend some time with you, or even read your posts, I sometimes can't quite believe that I am fortunate enough to have a friend like you...
Give me a ration of (r@p if you must, but life is too short, and too many things are left unsaid...

John, thanks you for your kind words. I can't help but be enthusiastic when I'm surrounded by other passionate people. And a room full of Rickenbackers!
Tammy, Robyn and I really enjoyed our phone conversation with you and Steve last weekend. We should do it more often.
Graham, I'm counting the days too, mate. Not only will you be IN that room, you'll be sleeping in it!!

You might be onto a lucrative money-spinner Darren! Rent that room out to visiting forumites!!
As well as Graham, i think Joey Vasco has put his hand up to stay in there also!
