Manning & crew showed up ready to play, particularly their defense. Brady & the boys got a beatin'.

Great game!

The Giants are my new favorite team! (At least until next season!)

Not taking anything away from Eli, but the Giants D deserves the MVP! They were in Brady's face all evening!

The greatest game I never saw - I spent over 3 hours in the ER last night with my 3 y.o. son.

I'd gone over to my brother's place, caught the kick off and drank 1/2 a beer when my wife called saying that our boy was ill and had a temperature of 104.8 degrees. I hightailed it home, loaded them up in the family car and headed directly for the hospital. Turns out that he has the flu and should be fine in about 4 days or so. By the time we were leaving the ER, the Giants were driving to the end zone with 59 seconds left on the clock and we needed to head to the pharmacy. The killer was that I couldn't even find the game on the radio!

Guess I'll just have to wait for Steve Sabol to release it on NFL Films........

That sucks man. I can relate - last year on Super Bowl Sunday my newborn son was finally allowed to come home after three weeks in intensive care following nasal surgery. He's fine now, but it makes the day even a bit more special. It's what's really important anyway. Good luck with your son.

On a happier note, I sure was proud of young Eli. Can't say that I was sad to see the Pats lose. Belichick showed his true colors by stomping off the field in a display of what I thought was poor sportsmanship.
Since the Giants beat my beloved Packers, I was happy to see them win.....and WITHOUT Shockey for that matter. That was even better!

....and I like Tom Petty. It was certainly a "safe" set with no surprises, but it beats most of the other lip-synched stuff they COULD have paraded out there.

+1 to all said. Very enjoyable game with great action, turned out like I wanted, I got to drink Latvian beer, and I won 5 times in the pool. Great Sunday.

Mike, it had to be tough, but 104.8 is not something to play around with. Glad it is under control with no adverse effects - brain injury and seizures are highly possible at the temp.

Yes I did. He did not look very happy, and did not represent the sport in a very good light. I would not want to be in the Patriots locker room after that game. Instead of celebrating a great season, he chose to grouse.

Bummer, Mike! I hope the little guy gets better soon.
I can relate. We watched the SB from the hospital two years ago. My Daughter, who was 5 months old at the time, had pneumonia. All turned out well, she recovered fast and the Steelers won!

Chris, John and Kev,

Thanks for the kind thoughts, guys! Everything is A-OK here. Little man is almost back to being his usual rowdy self - he certainly has his appetite back. Now my wife is coming down with it so I've been playing nursemaid in addition to my usual duties. I'm making certain that I do everything I can to keep from becoming the third casuality and with my gig schedule it's going to be quite the challenge. It's rather odd in that I'm usually the one who comes down with this kind of **** - go figure.

Thanks again for all the concern!

Well, it sure was fun being out there even if the score didn't go my way. The stadium & parties were great. Mike, sorry I never got in tough but with all of us out there I never got to take a breath. I didn't feel anything at all positive about the trip right after the game and I don't blame Belichick for being short afterwards. That had to be very disappointing. I know folks around the country don't respect him but I do. I just wish he could have made some better adjustments.

Cudos to Manning & the Giants. They played a masterful game and they deserved to win (easier to say that now that Sunday night).

Favorite moment: At the pregame locker room party in the stadium, I was drinking a free prickly pear marghuerita, getting a massage with my face down in a massage chair, when they cleared space immediately in front of me for the AZ Cards cheerleaders to come in and do a routine. I kept my head down at first and could hear and feel the breeze from thir pom-poms. After about 30 seconds I couldn't take anymore and had to sit up to watch. I was the only guy behind them. GREAT SHOW!
