I'll also sometimes put a drop on the nut that holds the fitting to the strap. In some ways, a strap lock coming apart when you're under the impression that it's pretty much foolproof may be more dangerous than no lock at all, so be sure those suckers are securely assembled and securely attached to the strap and guitar (toss those little ****** screws on the buttons, too - and replace them with Rick-style bolts)
