When we first met she asked me why I needed more than one guitar. My answer was along the lines of, "Why do you need more than one pair of shoes?". We're a match made in heaven- she understands a lot better now. But 2 of the same guitar still escapes her understanding.

I used a similar comparison with my wife, Bob. Shoes, outfits, etc v. Rickenbackers. Everything was fine until we got into cost comparisons. I didn't fare as well there.

LOL I did run into a similar issue with the $$ angle. But she did get the point that different guitars do different things. She originally thought one acoustic and one electric was all you needed. And if it was acoustic-electric, even better. One size fits all!

Thanks. Yesterday, I got a PM from a guy who thinks he sold me Rosie in '98, and that he was the original owner. Still has the receipt with the SN, so when she arrives, we'll know for sure. I do not recall the serial number anymore.

Rosie's back! Arrived via UPS today. Wow, what a blast to uncase a guitar you once owned and remember every little nuance of it all over again. This little ding, that piece of figuring, the feel, the smell, the accessories in the case. It's really cool. She has mellowed a little bit in the 5 years since that picture was taken and has a more ambered center. What a gorgeous guitar.

I am going to cut a new nut and set her all up with some fresh strings and a polish.

Great news. Interesting that there is that much of a difference in 5 years on the ambering. I have a '92 FG that is so ambered you'd swear it was AFG.

Now if I can just get my first Rick back... '91 360/12 FG #E4 5818... keep your eyes peeled everybody!
