My band used a smoke machine for our record release shows in SF last April. During soundcheck for the 2nd show, I turned to adjust my amp and got hit by a random blast right in the face! Our drummer could barely find his toms all night both nights. But it sure looked rock!

No rubber vulture, though. Clearly we're not that rock!

I don't know about the new foggers, but the ones back in the '90s used mineral oil and vaporized it.

Once, when we spent two days on a movie set with fog machines running constantly, every extra(about 200) and most crew members (35) came down with, er, diarrhea, for thirty-six hours straight, with two bathrooms on the set.

We called it "bonding" and "memorable".

In the 80s I had a 7 foot tall bass rig ... I had an acoustic 301 relfected horn 1x18 cab with a 1x15 cab on top of that with a bass head on top of that ... it kicked *** ...

but the best, and loudest bass rig I had was the pa system in minutes to midnight ... I ran my ampeg b2r into 4x10s and miked it into the pa ... we had a 6000 watt power amp driving cerwyn vega sub woofers ... I could rearrange your intestines with my low B string ...

I remember a gig at a bar in Allen Park michigan when we opened up the pa and let the bass really come out ... people came to the stage and wondered where that sound was coming from ...

They could actually make it to the stage?

I gig 1000 watts but my rig is slightly smaller
