Well, Johneek and I caught Heart a week or so back in Biloxi....and both Ann and Nancy Wilson still "have it"! Only complaint was their show was too short (Casino format), and they opted for some covers instead of their many hits. But awesome all the same.

Absolutely. Ann has not lost a lick on her vocals, and Nancy at 54, Nancy is still pretty hot...not to mention that she can play pretty well.

I just caught Ann and Nancy with Fergie on Idol doing Barracuda. Fergie is white hot. Sizzling in fact. Man that lady can sing and dance. I am very very impressed.

Oh man....wait, oh woman, there are so many.
Some greats have already been mentioned (woohoo, Nina Hagen!) so I'll add some others.
Patti Smith
Joni Mitchell (yes she does too rock, damnit)
PJ Harvey
Brix Smith (The Fall)
Joan Jett
Bonnie Raitt (Indeed she does rock, unless you think Lowell George didn't...)
Souxsie (of the Banshees)
Annie Tedescho
Melissa Etheridge (didja hear that bald Janis impersonation??)
Sleater-Kinney
Debbie Harry
Bjork
Kate Bush
...too many others. Rock and roll is rock and roll.

Suzi Quatro? She of tiny stature, leather biker garb and low-slung P-bass.
A top-notch glam-rocker (or is that an oxymoron?) and an intelligent and articulate woman to boot. So cool that Audi named a car after her!

I'm surprised that no has yet to mention Susanna Huffs.

I was waiting for Aitch to mention her (it's Hoffs btw) he saw her perform at the House of Blues and raved about her for months.

I just love her guitar.

For some reason, when I think of Susann Hoffs, I think of legs, not vocals......

Crissie Hinde could sing the want-ads from Thursdays' Tradin Times and make sound great

Some votes are getting perilously close to country! Like Linda R. I love Linda's voice and it is a beautiful voice, not necessarily rock tho. Grace had the power and the alto range to keep up with the power chords.
I had mentioned Pat B earlier.
On another note.....
Barracuda is high up on the scale!!!

I have a confession: I despise Heart.
Their music makes me cringe, and Barracuda is one of the top offenders.
