Here's a further hint. There are actually two bands that became famous as a result of The Commitments. One of the bands was a big hit in both The UK and Australia.

The band Billy Talent took it's name from one of the characters in this film. (the guy on the right, Kallum Keith Rennie. His character's name was Billy Tallent, lead guitarist)
I saw that movie, and it was indeed good.

Hi Greg,
No but you are warmer. The lead guitarist of the band in question was in the film and so was the violinist, albeit briefly.
