Well I don't know about $5K, but I'd say it's overvalued at this point too.

Nice bass though, don't get me wrong. YMMV.

I agree.....about $5K is the most I could imagine.....I'd only pay $3k myself, but I'm notoriously cheap.

Absolutly the most stunning 4003 I've seen. Again frustratingly close to perfection, if it were to have the new FW inlays. Proves once again that RIC can build with all the desired features, they just need to get them all in one bass! I vote this for an upcoming COY :)

I think that RIC have made it clear that these one-off finishes will not be offered again in the future.

Besides that, "Honey-glo" even sounds good.

I wasn't talking about it because this one doesn't do much for me.

THAT'S THE BIG DIFFERENCE????

My god, it's worse than the Fender folks still ****** that the curve on the strat headstock doesn't change curve like on the 57 (as if anyone normal would notice)

Well Nick, it is a rather small hump but it's noticeable. But besides the hump, the whole coverage over the control cavity is larger than it needs to be on today's 4003 and the edges of the pick guard are no longer (roughly) parallel to the edges of the bass like they used to be near the jackplate. Compare the photos below of the pick guard on Kevin Teed's 21-fretter with this new 4003:
