Dave, welcome to the forum. Did the guy who said it wasn’t worth it offer to take it off your hands??? Get it back and get it to the doctor… Paul or Dale would be worth the wait. Both do real good wook.

Hi guys
Thanks for the fantastic support and advice. Dale got back to me and I'm sending her over to him. Depending on how long it will take him, I may deliver it personally, take a holiday in the Stastes and bring it back myself. That'd be cool!
Oh by the way, I've already got her back from Mr "It aint worth it". I can't say who he is but I believe I should
MARK him as the
KING of
BASS makers.
Is it possible to post pictures here? It might be interesting for you to see how this goes.
PS
Gareth - yes that's me.

Hey Dave, it would be cool if you could come to the states when we have the SoCal confluence in August. Dale came to the last two. Maybe he'll come to that one also.
You can post pics here. Go under the white post reply window where it says Upload Attachment, then you go into your computer where you pick the phot you want to upload.
You can also do it by having photos stored in a photo hosting service like Photobucket or Imageshack and use the IMG tags.
If you can't figure it out, email your images to me and I'll post them for you.

Yeah, I figured that's who it was. He must have too much work; never turned down anything before! He redid the rods on my 72. He's a great builder but very much has his own mind and likes to do things his way from my experience. Which is one of the reasons I use Martin Petersen at the Gallery for everything I can; he's a bit more open on the consultation side of things - plus he's a fantastic luthier and a great, great guy.

Yes I would definitely pick Paul over Dale.
