Rob, the RIC site is back up, and there is nothing in your profile that would indicate you have been terminated. You might want to recheck your status.
Thanks for the kind words, I'm sure we own a lot of the same "record albums" as well as these newfangled CD things. It kills me how obsolete cassette tapes are becoming. I'm sure you're gonna dig this scene as it is a little friendlier. Enjoy!

Hey Mike.
I've definitely been 'black balled' over there.
If I try to log in is says....."Your account has been disabled by a moderator"
Anyway, enough of that.
I've got a question!
I've just bought a new 'Hercules' guitar stand for my 2 Ricks and my Acoustic guitar, it says on the bumf that the foam rubber coating is 'guitar laquer friendly', but I need to be sure, I don't want to ruin the finish on the guitars.
I'll only be using the stand for gigs, the rest of the time my babies will be in their cases, need I worry about damaging the finish?
Cheers.
Rob.

Rob, I believe the Hercules brand of stands are Rick friendly, but I would definitely pm "jingle jangle" on that, as he has had some threads(or major input on)which guitar stands do what. Paul has had a lot of experience with the finish, and would be able to answer your question in as technical of an explanation as you may desire. There are many others here who could just as easily answer this with a high level of expertise, but without starting a new thread on this,(you may want to do a search on Hercules stands on this forum),they may not see this question in your "hello" post.
Good grief on the other, great way to thank a loyal customer. The new(and old)guitars look great by the way. Glad to see you still playing them.

As Mike alluded, Paul W uses Hercules stands, so they must be fine. I just don't like the yellow bits.

Yes, the yellow bits make them look like DeWalt donut stretchers, but I'm liking them otherwise.
We're working on a see-through plexiglas display stand that's virtually invisible, for photo purposes. I (for one) am tired of seeing Large Black Rubber Toes holding up my Ricks.

Great stuff.
I used the Hercules tonight at a gig and it seems fine, we've got another gig tomorrow night and I now have confidence in the little black and yellow peril!
Can someone tell me.......
Who do I have to sleep with to turn my new jetglo 360/12 into and amazing puprpleglo(burst?) 360/12?
I've seen pictures on here, how?????

Well it's not me, I wake up every morning and my guitars are still the same color, so I don't possess that magic. My wife says I am a pro at keeping her warm, so at least I know I'm good for something.
Once again, jingle jangle is your man, but I have no idea of his orientation,(or do I care, just trying to be funny). There are others, and I mean no disrespect in not mentioning them, I am just ignorant in knowing who they are.
I will go as far to say that you would have to be pretty darn good for anyone to refinish your guitar, as this ain't a Stew-Mac spray can affair. I'm sure that the job alone is not inexpensive, as well as the shipping both ways for you.
Good luck.
