Have I improved.......nope I am the same miserable SOB I was when I arrived here on a mission. I was hoping to find for my long lost 375 FG or a similar replacement. I'll really improve when I find it. That was a joke people. You can smile now. My RAS has improved though. I am down to two must haves.

Good question.... My husband would probably say no, LOL!

But I feel that being a member of this forum has enriched my life in many ways, and I have made some friendships here that I hope are lifelong.... When I browse these pages I gain a deeper appreciation for some of my favorite guitars, and I find inspiration, and more than a little bit of laughter and fun! Meeting some of the people who frequent this site face-to-face and having the opportunity to play for and with them, whether at a Confluence or in their homes is an amazing experience.

Seriously, I get the implication. I've met new friends, met new people I thought were my friends and met some who I would never be friends with ever. Like anything, there is good and bad. Right now I'm down on a couple of people and a couple of others are more in favor. Overall, the experience is good here. Peter has a good heart, as do most of you, and it shows through with this forum.

ah, that's actually a very good point. I'm a fairly sarcastic and sardonic guy, while totally friendly I've caught myself saying things before that could be (or were!) taken the wrong way, because of the limitations of a keyboard. so yes, that's definitely a bonus skill aqquired.

Have I improved as a person because of the RRF? Of course! I've gotten to meet and communicate with such wonderful people who are as crazy (or crazier) than I am when it comes to Rickenbackers!

I lurked here for quite a while before actually becoming a member. I must say my life has improved since actually joining the forum as I don't have that outside looking in feeling anymore. There are some really nice, informative people here, and either learn something I didn't know about an instrument, or a person for that matter, everytime I log on. I also have a dry, sometimes sarcastic/sardonic sense of humour, and never intend to offend anyone if somehow I do.

I hope to learn more, meet more people, and hear about their experiences both technically and performance wise. Basically, I'd like to make some more friends and continue my education on Ricks and the folks who play them. Hopefully,I'll be able to make some confluences next year, as this year has been a bad one for me. There are many of you already who I would love to jam with.

My knowledge has definitely expanded...most of us can count ourselves as pretty legitimate Rickenbacker experts, so there's something to be said for that.

I began lurking here way back in the day, 2001-2002 or so, when the C-series was just coming out...things have much improved since then!

Definately!! I've learnd to spel much beta and mi gramar and sentance structa is improoving daly!

i can now also reed very long paragrafs with no capitle letters or punctuashun that seem to go one foreva and i understand them a hole lot betta than i did whun i joned the foram.

I don't know whether being a member here has made me a better person - I like to think that it has but only others can be the judges. What it has done is make me far more aware and considerate of the opinions of others and that can only be a good thing.
