Muisic Ground is a very sleazy outfit. I would not trust them on their word as far as I could throw them.

Yes, not heard much positive about them.

It would have been interesting to know and see more about this one, including serial number etc....

To me the auction stinks because they couldn't list the name of this historic 4001 player who used/owned it. Why would you keep that information private if it could be verified?

I'm also not clear if it was a bass supposedly owned by Chris, and that he used touring, or it was a bass he happened to use once or twice. No pictures?IMO, the whole thing is sketchy at best.

Hi guys,
I have just recieved an email from Music Ground.
Its a FLAMING 21 FRETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now the bass Chris used on TV for the Time And A Word stuff was a 21 fretter with the later pick up and plastic cover but this baby has a horse shoe pick up!
Maybe it was changed some time later.
It looks to be in good condition although the TRC could be a later version.

The provenance wasnt included in the email although it appears to be from Nikki Squire and theres a quote (supposedly from Chris) to say it was one of his favourite basses.
Anyone have any idea who bought it?
I have enough on my plate with the second CS but its a nice bass and even over priced its still worth a shot if you could afford it.
I still cant believe those guys at MG got this one.
it must have been a commission/quick sale because MG would have tried to double the price if it was shop stock.
Pete.
