Yes, the rhythm parts to "Back on the Chain Gang" sound a bit like a Ric 12-string, but I read somewhere years ago that Chrissie Hynde played a Telecaster through a chorus pedal to achieve a "pseudo-12-string sound." So, yes, she does emulate the sound of a Ric, but no dice IMHO.

Hynde is famous for using the Tele/chorus combo, so I'm pretty sure that's it. I get the same results with the same type combo.
