nice, they have arrived and are on, i have to say though they are still slightly harderd 2 play on that my old roundwounds, mmmmmm how low a tension does my left hand demand?? =s any remidys for this, of do i just need to make my left hand get stronger???

I would only change flatwounds if the winding were to come loose. Otherwise they just sound better and better, like a fine wine. 8) By comparison, I change the groundwounds on my 4003 every two weeks.

James Jamerson, he of Motown fame and arguably one of the top five bassists of all time, NEVER ONCE changed the strings on his Precision a single time over his career. 'Nuff said! :wink:

yeh, i also heard he perfered increadably high action, simulating an upright bass.
