As a boomer: I feel the boomers music, 60's, and early 70's in particular, will be regarded the way Hollywood's golden age is. Those with enough interest in seeking out good music will acknowledge and most likely include it in their permanent brain files.

I prefer movies and movies stars of my parent's generation. I sought them out on my own as a teen. The films of the 30's and 40's established what movies and movie stars should be, in my mind.

There are era's for all things to peak, and a lot of us were lucky enough to have lived through a big one. I don't think we'll ever see a coming together of the tribes over music and fashion again such as the boomers did, everything is so diverse and categorized now. Think about it - there was the Jazz Age, where worldwide, young adults were pretty much all digging the same music and fashion. The Big Band era, same deal. The Rock Era (boomers). But, heck, when's the last time you even imagined that one band or style of music would capture a world audience?

Subsequent generations are leaving their mark, just as we did. Not as defined now perhaps, but given the passage of time..?
