I love my Jazz, I love my BronzeGlo Abomination, I totally dig my Martin B-1, I even love my Yamaha BX-5.
I guess I just love well-made instruments that play well and sound good. Newsflash: lots of companies make good stuff.
I never thought this day would come!

Ok ... I haven't gone completely gone over to the dark side ... today my wife needed to record a track for a school project ... so I used this bass here ...

Use whatever makes you happy, mod your gear to suit your needs, just don't stop playing and creating!
There is a lot of great stuff out there these days, and in the end, the only one who needs to be happy with your gear is you, whatever that may be!

I love my 4003FG dearly, but my number one bass has a Squier body (p-Bass), a custom build neck (birdseye maple neck and fretboard) in J style, P/J pups from Bartolini, passive circuitry and I painted it myself. This bass sounds and plays so fine.....

I recently put an Audere 4 band preamp in my 4004L 4-2-5 ...

Now I like it better than my active jazz bass. The 4004 has more snarl and a bit darker moodier tone. And with the 4 band circuit I can dial in pretty much any sound I want.
