Erik,, you mentioned that you always had the maximizer and compressor on.
Can you tell me how you set your maximizer up ???

Lo Contour at 7, Process at 6. This added just a little bit of beef. The affect of a sonic maximizer on a bass is very subtle compared to it's affect on a guitar, unless you're using distortion.

My original dislike for this preamp is now history. Now that we've been pointed in the right direction to...ahem...read the manual regarding the e.q., I find I really do like my fellow band member's BBE.
