How cool is it buying the Kinks sunny afternoon as your first 45? Nice one Peter.

my sister 1 year younger had all the beatle stuff,i remember her playing "i feel fine" a LOT, and i mostly just had an lp or 2,weird stuff like herb alpert, mason williams, the ventures-i still love the instrumentals! but i do remember two 45"s distinctly that i bought, "love is blue" by paul mauriat, and "ramblin gamblin man" by the bob seger band and wearing them both out, much to my parent's annoyance, esp, the seger record. i suppose this would have been around 1964-66. i really can't even listen to any bob seger record now, even that one.....tastes do change i suppose...... :)

The first 45 I bought would have been a Beatles 45 in 1966. I don't remember which one, as I bought many that year. The first 45 my Mom bought and gave to me was Puff The Magic Dragon by Peter, Paul and Mary. That was in 1963 when I was five.
