Flatwounds now fitted- and I like em :D I only had about half an hour to play before coming in work, but so far so good. I think I prefer the sound for most of what I play, but I think the feel of them will take some getting used to! I also had grey fingers after playing, does that happen all the time or does it wear off once the strings are bedded in?

So now any buzzing I get (which is now reduced with the flats) will all be down to technique :oops:

Some strings, such as Chromes, have an oli on them that you can wipe off with alcohol.

Sorry to ask this but are these milliFarad or microFarad capacitors? I honestly thought they were microFarad.

milliFarad = mF, microFarad = uF (because "u" is as close as a Latin alphabet can get to the lower case "mu" which is the abbreviation for "micro".
