yes paul - i agree. it is sad. people should buy from small "boutique" makers. there is no reason why those guys could not all end up like small grocers and independent gasoline stations. than people good luck with corporate amp that has great resale value but it is out of warranty. ;) i completely understand kustom and fender lure but really there are great makers out there for almost same money - e.g. frenzeltubeamps.com than there are some that are more expensive but again you get what you pay for and i put my money where i see it fit :
i own one samamp 45 - samamp.com it is great idea with attenuation via lightbulb! so i got one + sam is great person and people like that with new ideas should be supported..i have pair of class a aiken invaders 18w (sadly out of production now)
and i own two - jukeamps.com they are imho best ab biased small clean amp out there with ampeg style reverb to die for and both bias modulated tremolo and true pitch vibrato - talking about surf and that style of music and for really big amp i have o'brien super reverb 4x10 enormous clone with their patented blending & variable gain pedal. the amp is great for clean big sound and cost was exactly what ptp super reverb would be.

i know these were not cheap but i feel i should support small makers like that in their quest & attempts to survive - so i am venting here - especially when this here is such a bunch of good people that are already rather "different" in many ways :-).

Although not a "dark green" to my eyes anyway (it's more of a grey color), the guitar case that came with my H. Marvin Sig. guitar is covered in that "alligator" stuff like Selmer used.

You have one, too? Small world! I got mine (also a 112 in red) a couple of years ago when the builder was selling them on eBay.

here is quite a item for someone handy looking for the eko-o-sound sound.....

http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-EccoFonic-t ... 240%3A1318

beside the fact that this is similar if not identical to echo in m-30 it is quite a find of its own for vintage buff. i had one years ago and it was a lot of fun.

so i just happened on an ek-o-sound. it was in a garage in the desert outside los angeles. does anyone have any parts for this amp that they do not want? i want to try and make it as perfect as 50 years and resources will allow. electronics are good, speaker needs work. thanks ~thurm

Hey all!!

This post is for someone on these forums called ROYCE - I've been seeing your posting requests for Echosonic information, and it has sent me a long online journey to get what you are trying to find.

The famous April 1953 Ray Butts Echosonic model EA-1 amplifier. I have a small diagram of it, a basic schematic with (unfortunately) no values (CAN ANYONE FILL THEM IN AND POST THEM PUHLEEZZ!).

I also have 3 pages of details instructions on how the tape echo functions as part of the amplifier - a very good read. I hae never seen these posted anywhere in online forums before until now!!

Source: http://www.freepatentsonline.com/2804499.html - GO HERE FOR THE INSTRUCTIONS - IT TAKES TOO MUCH TIME TO CUT THE FILES INTO SEPERATE PHOTOS (This site will only allow SMALL 102KB files - AARRRGGH - Get With The Times Please !!!!!!!!)

Let's all get some information together and maybe we can have a working schematic for all of us to enjoy.

PS Tim, if you see this post, please PM or email me, I would really like to speak with you!

Thank you,
Frank

okay, I'll post the photos.

But ONLY because I hate sites that demand you create an account with your email address - that's a violation of my privacy (hmpf!!)

Multiple posts as each post has a total file size limit too... yay for me......

Joe Puerta told me the first gig Ambrosia ever played was at Royce Hall! (Royce Hall Trivia..No, Not ME, The BUILDING!)
