I'll call you BobAmpeg and ask you if you like flats, just for old times' sake.

So to get there from Boston do you make a raft out of 2 SVT cabinets and Float down there?
When I first came to the Ric forum I only played passive 4 string basses.
Now I prefer active 5 string basses.

Hola, Bob. ¿Que tal?
Nothing will get you dead quicker than being deadly serious about yourself.

Ah, someone who remember my famous water going down the drain experiments.jps wrote:Bob, why is your post upside-down and turning in the wrong direction?![]()

Believe it or not I found an early B-15S head but the problem was someone had tried to put 4 power tubes in it, punched two extra holes and everything and blew the power transformer, duh! haha! Anyway it was fixed but I didn't have time to see if the tranny had 120 VAC primary taps on it so it stayed, the thing sounded great too, I don't thing it was putting out 60 watts though so the transformer was maybe a bit low on the high voltage. 71 bucks though, damn! But I'll be back sooner or later, would have been a pain taking it on the plane too, and I checked fliptops and he wanted 229.00 for an original power tranny.soundmasterg wrote:Maybe you'll find another miswired SVT using 6L6GC's down there again?

Yeah you just have to tie them together, they're airtight so the sailing's great, the heads make them kind of lean a little though.jwr2 wrote:So to get there from Boston do you make a raft out of 2 SVT cabinets and Float down there?

4 string passive basses, now that was a LONG time ago.

Yup I spent more time with the Ric forum back then than anything else I think, very fond memories. The internet cafes are much faster now, they used to be maddeningly slow. Te country has come a long way in 5 years, i know our dollar used to go a lot farther back then in Peru.admin wrote:Bob: Thanks for the post. I am glad you are able to revisit those nostalgic days.
