Paul, when in Rome, and that Avocado smoothie sounds nearly perfect...

I love COTC, roasted and with just a smear of butter.

Brasilian avos are sweeter than the ones we have here, so ours take a bit more sugar.

Take a couple of skinned avos, toss 'em in a blender with a half-cup of milk, sugar to taste. That's all there is. I use liquid blue agave sweetener; three teaspoons should be a good median.

Sounds like a winner, Paul, gracias. I recall another great avacado delicacy, the avao pie.

My band opened for a punk band that did traditional Scottish songs to the tune of Sex Pistols songs on Robbie Burns day in Vancouver. When they offered us haggis, my bass player politely refused because she was vegetarian. I had another ear with tonight's din-din, microwaved in the husk and left to self-steam for a few minutes. Yummm!!!
Inspired by the vidclip, I offered a few kernels to my cat Chester but he wasn't having any of it.

I never buy my sweet corn from the store, I get it from the farmers wife selling fresh cut out of her truck by the side of the road. I live in the middle of a whole lot of cornfields. I wish I lived in a whole lot of musician fields, you know, so I could pick the right ones!

I had my first taste in 1957; I was only about 50 then...it was out of a can!!!

It was at a trade fair in Chicago at Navy Pier. A red-letter day...I got the autographs of all of Jerry Murad's Harmonicats, and saw my first '57 Ford Skyliner (hardtop convertible). It was all Torch Red, with a red interior--no two-tone, which was fairly odd for a deluxe model in those days. They had it posed in the lobby with the top in mid-flight.

I thought that life expectancy issue was due to the carnage at Glasgow Rangers v Glasgow Celtic matches....

and the cold....

and the damp....

and the alcohol consumption...

and the belief that saturated fat is a key nutrient...

Haggis is just the icing on that particular cake, to use a very unlikely metaphor!
