A favorite I had the honor of owning for a brief period was this one. Too bad I wasn't bright enough to catch on to being able to play it worth a hoot.

I havent seen a lot of flame on 330s but heres mine.BBR 06

Re: Cool/Weird Wood Grain
Also got a strange Grain mark through the A tuner! This also runs through to the wood at the end of the neck above the r in rickenbacker.

doesnt bother me in the slightest the 330 sounds great! its the most acoustic sounding ric ive had.

Lovin it Mel!
Re: Cool/Weird Wood Grain
my 4001 has got just these two "beauty marks" at the fifth fret. Other than that she's just garden-variety beautiful Walnut.
Do thumbprints in the finish on back of the headstock count?
All I wanna do is rock!

Had to take a closer picture of the 381 today, as the first one didn't really capture the full effect--notice how the grain of the wood looks like a shadow of the strings vibrating!
And since I had the camera out anyway, here's the back of my Comstock--lovely flamed maple, also visible on the sides of the guitar.
