Do you guys find the tone knob to cut the volume on your (bass) toaster?

No, it does what it is supposed to. Are you sure everything is wired up correctly?

Well yeah I think (thought) so, but thats kind of the reason for this thread.
It's wired exactly the same way as the High gain was - and now is.
If I was doing something wrong then I'll try it out again someday- the PUP swap only takes about 30 minutes.
It's possible that it was set too low. I was very confused when I looked at the bas of nuts and bolts supplied - it looked very "guitar specific" with wood screws and 6 rubber grommets. I installed with the existing nuts and 2x rubber grommets.

Shoulda taken some snap shots I spose.

Okay. 8) From my limited experience, if a tone control affects pickup volume, it can only mean the wrong capacitor has been used on it. Anyone? :idea:
