Re: Australia For the semester
And Sydney as well. I have to take every opportunity and any excuse to go for a drink before my first born arrives late January.
Re: Australia For the semester
My apologies for not providing information at an earlier stage.
Graham will be arriving in Melbourne on Friday, November 7th. Darren and I have spoken about some activities on Saturday the 8th, namely a show and tell.... probably at Darren's home, a jam session in the afternoon.... probably at the Jamtim and a dinner somewhere afterwards.... probably in Darren's area.
I haven't sent out emails and such at this stage as I've left it to Darren to talk with Robyn about it before we lock things in. Given that Darren heads off to the US the following Friday I want to be sure that she is comfortable with a full day of activities so close to his departure.
Graham will be staying at my place (assuming he doesn't mind staying with an old fart and can handle sleeping in a room with over 30 guitars) and I will be picking him up from the airport on the 7th and returning him in plenty of time for his flight out on the 12th. No other activities planned at this stage but I'm sure we can wing it. I'll be on leave so I'll be able to take him wherever he wants to go or if he wants to do his own thing I'll be able to guide him on the 'wheres and hows'.

Did you tell him about the mud wrestling club?ozover50 wrote:My apologies for not providing information at an earlier stage. No other activities planned at this stage,.... I'll be able to guide him on the 'wheres and hows'.
Re: Australia For the semester
Graham's only a young fella, Jeff. What would his parents and the greater RRF community think if we sent him home all damaged and corrupted!!
Then again, he IS going to Sydney after Melbourne, isn't he????

We're doing nothing more than reciprocating, Kira. We Aussies have been looked after extremely well by our American, Canadian and British friends and invited to stay in their homes, so it's the least we can do!
Another one of the joys of being a member here...... and it's a huge financial benefit as well. I toured the US, Canada and Britain in 2006 for 62 nights. Of those 62 only 11 were spent in hotels.... how good is that??

Weren't you here for 11 days in 2006? Or did it just feel like 11 days! Are you calling my place a hotel?ozover50 wrote:We're doing nothing more than reciprocating, Kira. Isn't that the way things should work in general? Then everyone's so much happier.
That brightens my hopes for LARF next year
I'm gonna need an angel or two if I'm to afford my pilgrimage.

It's hard to tell who is more excited! I am super excited, but also have a lot going on at Uni. It is a break I need. Less than one week.
