I suppose that is an issue with these PAS cameras, no cable release and manual settings, but for non critical use they are fine.

Anyway, who would go hunting the defining moment with a digital?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Cartier-Bresson using a digital camera if he was in his prime these days. Most likely an M8.

Nice shots, Kira. The color stands out particularly well against the murky water and grayed-out wood of the surroundings.

Speaking fer myself, I'm happy that digital cameras make it so easy to squeeze off a bunch of shots to find the best ones, without waiting or wasting film and chemicals.

Kira, a beauty. I love the Walnut and Autumnglo basses. BTW, Autumnglo is the same as walnut but with a matte finish, whereas Walnut has the gloss. Monty is a bit too strong of a statement for me; I like the subtler tones of the Ws and ATGs.

Woody, I'm in the San Rafael Canal, a northwestern tributary of the San Francisco Bay. Nice weather most of the year and a pleasant liveaboard community.

I agree with you, John about Monty Brown. I can't picture a prettier finish than Walnut for my bass. If there was a way to restore the rash without a refin I might do it, but I'm not losing any sleep about it. It'll happen after my facelift, if at all

If you have negs you want printed, let me know, Kira. A real silver-gelatin print still looks far better than an inkjet print.

Autumnglo is a satin finish,Walnut is buffed to a high gloss...my 1976 4001FL is Autumnglo,but since the back of the neck is polished smooth from playing,I suppose that it's Walnut there...
