I would hope that she's an 'ex'....in this Forum environment, one might also have to consider the option of 'late' as a viable alternative..... 8)

Some poor sod was surfin at night on his beloved Midnight Blue 4003 when he was attacked by a rather big shark, that had mistaken the fingerboard
inlays for the teeth of another smaller shark (probably a 620) and ripped some chunks out of it. The surfer survived with minor cuts, but decided to sell it on ebay when he discovered that the ROS socket was knackered, and the accident brought back to many nightmares.

I'm thinking it's the work of either someone who's really into cubism, or else an extreme attempt at making a relic gone wrong.

"...As you can see in the pictures someone has cut pieces from the headstock and body of the bass, This does not effect the playability only the looks..."
Thank God, I was worried how the thing sounds...  :o

That is possible. Wouldn't be the first time we've seen a scenario like that.

I think what Mike Rutherford did was the correct way to make a guitar/bass doubleneck, it makes sense from a playability consideration and I think, aesthetically, also.

Where's that eBay seller who cannibalizes Rics and sells the parts - this would be a good investment for something like that.

I'm with you, Paul. If it was cheap enough, I'd buy it and restore it
