Oh yeah, that's a beauty for sure! I was just wondering, did it have an Ac'cent vibrato at one time? The tailpiece looks like it could be so equipped.

JimK - that's what it has now! Vibrato arm removed.

Lookin good. The neck on mine is ridiculously thin as well, great for using your thumb to fret Townshend-style.

haha, totally. I was curious about the neck on yours, actually. I have moderate-normal hands and I look like Hendrix holding this thing, thumb over the fingerboard edge and all.

Thanks guys! Everyone knows that new Rics are the best you can buy, but there is just something about a nice vintage guitar that hasn't been molested, and just vibes, ya know?

Collin, I'm jealous of you! You've got a beauty there. I don't know if I'd be able to get a vintage Ric. Maybe I could get lucky, perhaps that '65 360/12 FG from Norman's Rare Guitars has my name on it?

Heres a comparison of the 365 to my '57 LP and the soft V neck of my strat. It's way thinner, and the narrower fretboard makes the neck feel about half as big as the other two.



In other news, my '66 is taking a trip to see Paul W this weekend for a soundhole cleaning.

Nice score. Yours has a lot less playing mileage than mine! My 365 OS is a '66 and they are unbelievable instruments. One of the local guitar store gurus played on mine at my gig last night and was visibly impressed- he had a pretty firm idea about what a Rick played like and he wasn't ready for how smooth it was. There is NOTHING like a vintage Rick.

Hey, good idea on the comparison Wes! That is pretty accurate, mine is equally as thin. With that sloping fretboard radius, it's just like Butter!

Now, does yours or anybody else's 365OS have three fret markers at the 12th fret fingerboard edge? It is pretty strange, and I swear it looks factory, not paint or anything....?

Cool, kind of like Graham's three nipples.

Factory guy, absent-minded, drilled only one marker hole at 12th fret... in order to avoid rebinding, refinishing, two more were added in usual places.

It's happened to me once or twice, but I fill, rebind, redrill, touch up.
