Wasn't there a brief PMC run?

Yes, John Simmons had one. Not sure who he sold it to. Maybe Peter Levett?

The PMC run was not considered a "signature edition." Yes, John A. got it. The tricky part is that Glenn Frey is not known as a bassist. But when RIC brought out the 230GF guitar in 1992, they figured they could do a bass as well, hence the 2030GF bass. Curiously, the 2030GF is set up like the 2020 Hamburg bass, rather than the earlier 2030 Hamburg. It has the vol/tone/microswitch like the 4004 series, rather than the two vol/two tone with a printed circuit like the old 2030/2050 series. Why they didn't call it the 2020GF, I can't say.

If I buy another bass in the foreseeable future, the next picture I post up here will be of my long suffering wife nailing my t**t*cles to the front door of the factory. I still haven't told her that's there's another 4001 coming at the end of this month that Paul's finishing off for me....

My CS was manufactured in November of 1991 and is number #270 in the production run of however many that eventually turned out to be.

Those will hold their value better than any stock investment. Don't feel too bad about being broke, you can't play a checking account :) Congrats on 2 beauties.

I think it was copied from here. I saw it earlier and bought it just now.
