It does make for a delicious fruit salad, doesn't it? That I think is my real dilemma, that I don't want to sell any of them, as I now have access to hb1, higain, toaster and horseshoe pickups....I am probably going to try to hold out for a while..... :|

Hold out, wise decision.

With time, your credit card will heal and be begging you to use it again.

just an update...i sold the v to a forumite, whom i will allow to divulge ,it was a reeally nice bass, but i found overall i preferred my one-great-sound 4000,and my cii for playability and their respective sounds. i bet that v would have sounded (even more) killer with some flats. it was very punchy and compressed sounding with the roto swingbass strings. at this point, i am hoping i can hang onto what i have guitarwise,it has not been a profitable year......i am getting ready to to a wiring mod to the cii, think i will try the coil tap one out first, although i am leaning toward the v.v.t. i don't know about ya'll,but i find i didn't really mess around too much with the individual tone pots on the v,or the selector switch.....

When I bought the 13th one I had to decide which 12 to keep. Then which 13 then 14 then.... There are more than 20 now. I guess I am just not good at deciding on which are my favorites.

When there were 12.

I have found over the years that a single master tone control is all that is really needed unless you are using ROS, perhaps. For a mono instrument, just the one tone control works fine.

Ha! That is my story since #3 - I now have 5. So far I've really resisted getting #6. No real candidate.
