Regarding jam song ideas, Gary had a good list from the August Confluence ... everybody probably knows a few on his list, so maybe its a good place to start from. Add a few more from other Rickenbacker artists such as Under the Milky Way (The Church), Man on the Moon (R.E.M.) or a few more Petty numbers, etc.

We had intended to be better organized, but I did not get stuff going when I should have ... so sorry, folks!

Here are some songs that I know the rhythm guitar part to (some I know the lead part, too):

Animals House Of The Rising Sun

Bad Company Can't Get Enough Of Your Love

Beatles A Hard Day's Night
All My Loving
And I Love Her
Can't Buy Me Love
Day Tripper [lead guitar only]
Eight Days A Week
From Me To You
I Don't Want To Spoil The Party
I'm Looking Through You
I Want To Hold Your Hand
Nowhere Man
Please Please Me
Things We Said Today
You've Got to Hide Your Love Away

Buddy Holly Peggy Sue

Byrds I'll Feel A Whole Lot Better
Mr. Tambourine Man
My Back Pages

CCR Bad Moon Rising
Born On The Bayou
Down On The Corner
Have You Ever Seen The Rain
I Put A Spell On You
Proud Mary
Up Around The Bend

Del Shannon Runaway

Eagles Lyin' Eyes
Take It Easy
Tequila Sunrise

Elvis Presley His Latest Flame

Linda Ronstadt When Will I Be Loved

Moody Blues The Story In Your Eyes

Ringo Starr It Don't Come Easy

Ritchie Valens We Belong Together [lead guitar only]

Rolling Stones Angie
As Tears Go By
Brown Sugar

Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers Mary Jane's Last Dance

Ventures Walk Don't Run

Who Behind Blue Eyes
Pinball Wizard

Yardbirds For Your Love

I know the vocals for some of these, too, and I probably have a working tab for the majority of them.It is better, of course, to know useless things than to know nothing. - Seneca

Wow, Paul --- I've never seen Beck and Page as Yardbirds together on film before .... what movie is that from ?

Second question --- did Beck do the guitar-smashing bit before Townsend and Hendrix ? Is Beck the originator ?
(My appologies in advance for thread-wandering off the main subject).

Yep, the movie is called Blow Up

The Beck smashing the guitar bit was in imitation of Townsend. It's especially obvious as he looks a bit awkward doing it, and completely overdoes it. PT was the master guitar smasher, not that I'd recommend that sort of thing.
