Did you drill new holes for the bracket?
I keep thinking about doing this on my 12 string.

The R and trapeze brackets are totally different. The trapeze requires 4 screws. You can switch from an R to a trapeze...but you can't go back. Well, you can if you don't mind exposing some old screw holes.captsandwich wrote:Did you drill new holes for the bracket?

just some small screws i got the same ones from the `R` bracket.Simple switch over and 4 screws for the trapeze.Trickiest bit is getting the strap bolt out i used grips with a towel round it as not to scrape or impair the chrome finish.A one way change that is not going back.Greg its just a matter of screwing 4 new screws for the bracket.captsandwich wrote:Did you drill new holes for the bracket?

You don't really need the screws, the strap button is enough to hold the tailpiece on. If you want to go back to an R tail, just put some felt pads between the plate and the body of the guitar.buzfluhart wrote:The R and trapeze brackets are totally different.
