I've no problem with the stereotypical orange Gretsches, the Tennesseans are maroon, though.
The latest word on my uncle's '60/'61 6120, for those who recall, is that she's in the shop getting fixed after who-knows-how-many years of sitting in his basement. The bridge was indeed replaced with a tune-o-matic and GLUED onto the body

(not by my uncle...he bought it in '66). The neck has shifted but seems OK for now, the Filtertrons have oxidized a bit and there's concern they may not be working anymore. Much of the body was spared binding rot, thankfully, but it's separating on the neck.
Someday I'll get some pictures for y'all. It's a great vintage Gretsch with some incredible flame.
