It's not hard to see that Mark Knopfler is one of the most highly regarded and appreciated guitarists for all time by his fans, his peers, and the critics. And if he thinks that Jimmy is in the same league as himself, who am I to argue? Personally he sounds like one of those classic voices. He has a great natural gift.

I never said he couldn't play. Sure he's good but not one of the best in the world IMO.

It would seem that Rolling Stone magazine shares my opinion of Mark Knopfler being one of the greats.

From Wikipedia:
