Scotty posted a real nice piece. So Scotty, allow me to return the favor. I never will learn this song, because I'd never be able to get through it without crying on stage. And that's something I'd rather the audience do, not me.

I've always been partial to this oddity, possibly as it was a hit in my late teen years:

And on the Bowie/Bing clip - I've always thought Bing looked kind of uncomfortable doing that duet....

I suspect Bing was a bit out of his element singing with a bonafide rock star. He was probably concerned that their difference in styles would make him seem like an old fuddy duddy. Of course he was right..........  However they both did a marvelous job IMO.

In Bing's defence though, no one to this day has done as good a job on the song White Christmas IMO.

Content Warning: This is NOT Rock and Roll

Roy: You are so right about your claim. The arrangements are very clever and I enjoy this album immensely.

This isn't a rock tune but I put this on every Christmas to remind me that, for many people, Chirstmas isn't a very nice time of year. It gives me perspective in a holiday season that can be given over to terrible excess in so many ways. It helps me appreciate all the blessings I enjoy. This is from the late great Canadian folksinger Stan Rogers. I have a gig tonight and I will be playing this as I always do at this time of year.
