If this has been posted elsewhere, my apologies. I can't get to everything. :D
No one was more surprised than me when my astonishingly low bid took this baby. As it has a 5-knob setup, I suspect the original wiring harness has been replaced. But it is a Capri with most of its original finish.

It will soon join the ranks of my other unrestored Capris . . .

Paul, any suggestions?

Wow, congrats on that one! I guess it'll be a nice Christmas present, huh?
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

It's not due to arrive until 12/31, so I am thinking of it as a "holiday surprise" -- hopefully, a good one.

Waiting to see what's under that guard, tho . . .

Wow. What a score. I paid that for a '68 335 last year, and considerably more for a '66 365OS this summer. Lucky!

No doubt it'll be a great way to start off the new year!

I'm betting that the wiring harness is correct. Nice snag!

Hey John, I hope you're right! Then this will truly be a snag/steal/deal !

What do you make of the white gards and the TRC?

Given that the TRC says MIUSA on it that can't be the original one, can it? :?

Congrats Ron! Lovely example, at a great price.

Ps...don't restore it! Even with the wear, the fireglo is nicely aged, and original

I guess it if needs hardware/setup/incorrect parts replaced then go fer it!

Wow, congrats Ron!! That was one of the deals of the year, for sure.

I'm with Collin on this one - leave it as is!

BTW - tell me more about this cache of "unrestored Capris". :D

I believe the TRC and white guards were fitted later. I could be wrong on the guard but as jps posted, it says "made in usa" on it. That was a great buy for you. I was wondering why it was going for so little!?

I was watching this, and was planning on bidding, but I snoozed. Too much Xmas food and wine. Congrats Ron, you got a great deal!!!

Remember this lost soul:
Mystery Capri
Mystery Capri
Add a little bit of TLC, gold plastic and the proper Ac'cent arm and:
1960 365 Capri - Body Front
1960 365 Capri - Body Front
1960 365 Capri - Full Front
1960 365 Capri - Full Front
1960 365 Capri - Control Side
1960 365 Capri - Control Side
BTW, an interesting feature of this guitar is that it is a late 1960 Capri with a blend knob. The wiring harness, which appears all original with unbroken solder joints, has matching 1962 pots. Original to the guitar? Who knows.

The new pics don't show all the scratches, dings, etc. but this baby is in very solid shape (caution: Dusan, the bridge is almost all the way down) the neck straight and action good.

I consider myself lucky. This eBay "shot in the dark" turned into a nice acquisition.
(Not all of them do.)

PS -- Anyone have a early 60's case for this baby? The 70's Gibson case is just not cutting it.
