Mom got a new embroidery sewing machine. If your familiar with the prices of those embroidery machines, then you'll know that I got the short end of the stick.

Wow, CONGRATULATIONS RICHARD!

Beautiful guitar! Nice figuring too!

Ah, the Embroidery machine gift huh? Oh BOY, been there, done that......talk about the gift that keeps on giving!

Did you remember to get her the software? That was the better part of a RIC and a NEW version comes out every 18 months or so, then a laptop to run it close to the machine. Don't for get the special STUPID EXPENSIVE embroidery thread, then the Ott light so they can see what they are doing, classes on how to use the darn thing, those embroidery design cd's, 6 month tune ups and cleaning, and about a dozen other goodies that she will need as she gets into using it...

Tony, there's something in the back of my mind which tells me that your music room is actually Mrs. Cabibe's sewing room. Am I close?

LoL!

BINGO!

The ONLY way I'm going to get a music room is when one of the kids move out!

Actually, one machine wasn't enough.... THEN, she needed a Serger, THEN a heavy duty machine that can sew leather, THEN a special machine to do something else, special attachments to embroider on hats, handbags, jackets, on a pigs butt, you name it....OH, lets NOT forget the fabric! She has enough to open up a small store.....thread holders, cutting templates, cases, bags and boxes of bobbins, needles, dozens of scissors, thimbles, pins, tape, batting, stuffing, what else? AAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Ah, nice to have a hobby!

IF you are REALLY LUCKY, your mom won't take it out of the box!

Been there, done that! My mom has more sewing machines than I have guitars, including several vintage machines. For example, her favorite "all-purpose machine" is a '65 Singer slant needle.

BTW, since I have two sisters in Florida (Gainesville & Ocala) and a niece in Orlando, there's a good chance that my mom may be making the trip with me to SERF. Shall we start making plans to keep her and your wife apart? Otherwise, we could both wind up in the poorhouse.

LoL, sounds like a GOOD IDEA to me! Janey SURE doesn't need any encouragement! :?

Just for the record, the trapeze is the same as the one that's on my '96 1997.

Congrats on the 660/12! It is great to see so many threads on the cresting wave style, solid body Rics of late... They used to be kind of the "step children" of the Ric line, which seem to now have come into their own at last.
