Um, the bass is now owned my Mike, it was formerly owned by Marc.

Thanks Ron,
Our guitarist last Friday thought it was a deliberate thing, kinda like a weak burst or something...
I really didn't think the bandmates would notice it as a different bass than my other MG.
They don't usually pay much attention...surprised me.
Now I have to practice my parts I guess.

They probably don't notice that, too! Typical of guitardists.

Ehhhh, you're only the bass player!

**** them off by reminding them people don't dance to the lead guitar parts.

To quote Larry Graham from Sly and the Family Stone " I'm gonna add some bottom,so that the dancers just won't hide "

There you are! Thanks for showing up for your own "Mike publicly thanks Marc" thread!
Are you embarrassed yet?

Oops!

I really miss my mind, but I can remember when I had it.

Not at all. In fact, when the bass becomes exactly what you want, I will be proud to have been the purveyor of such a fine instrument.
Enjoy!
PS - I would have never had the guts to buy the frying pan, if I didn't know I had the sale of this bass on place. So in a sense, your purchase allowed me to own what I consider a piece of musical history. For that I thank thee as well.

Congratulations Mike,
Glad a rare gem like this stayed in the family.
Wow, March 09?!?!? GREAT turn around time!
Can't wait to see the pictures!
I'd love to have my 71 restored in Walnut, I can't wait to see the FWMOP inlays and binding with that color!
Keep us posted!

Your generosity is only exceeded by your humble-ness (is that a word?

). The bass
is exactly what I wanted.
