Nifty, Nicholas. What exactly does the inscription say on the photo?

I just wrote on the image on my comp...It said "Dad playing at Whisky Agogo with Bocky and the Visions." It was a club in Cleveland.

Bocky and the Visions were quite an act in Cleveland, so I've read. They opened for a number of named acts. Cool stuff.

Amazing Capri.. I once had the chance to play a MG 1958 model...

Thanks for sharing the images... Some of us here collect these for reference purposes...

Cheers from snowy Canada!

Classic B&Ws, Nicholas. Too cool --- thanks for sharing. As John Biscuti remarked, I'd Scratch-X and Zymöl the Capri and leave well enough alone for now. What a sublime-looking Ric. BTW, welcome to the canteen. Peace, out.....Goofyfoot.

Nicholas

What a treasure to have pictures of your dad playing back then. Please tell us more about his band(s).

Great decision not to sell that guitar. It's a family heirloom :!: :!: Just wipe it down and put it back in the case.

I know someone who can get your Capri up and running again, Nick. Look no further than our own Paul W. (aka Jingle_Jangle). He's actually lisenced to build Ric acoustic guitars and has restored tons of Rics that needed repairs, refins or anything in those categories. He's a nice and honest fellow and will give your Capri the work it needs. :) (Paul, I just spoke for you, man!)
Thanks, Jake. Your check is in the mail...

This is one on which the finish should remain untouched and untouched-up, too. Just a bit of cleaning if you're in the mood. Original patina is irreplaceable. The only work that should be done is whatever it takes to bring playability back to "as original" state.

These early Capris have a lovely sound and the neck is to die for, if thin is your thing!

Man, what a beautiful Capri.

You will notice that many of us are drooling over your guitar, as it's one of the most collectible sought after standard production Rics. Just absolutely gorgeous, and awesome that your old man is the original owner!!

That's a hell of a way to jump into the Ric world, nice!! :D

All my old man ever passed down to me is a set of rusty spanners!

Cheers,
-Collin
