I tried for this one as well but I was only 2 hours after the posting. Needless to say, I was already too late.

There's a 83 jet-glow that got listed this morning on the Seattle Craigslist. I already have 3 jet-glow's or I'd go after it. I considered getting it anyway, its about 3-400 below what they're going for on ebay.

Sadly I had to pay a fair bit more for it than the original $800 it got listed for, I suspect that the original seller made the original listing then realised that he'd priced it way too low and withdrew it.

It reappeared a few days later at $1000, I paid more than that, although in the end I think the price was / is reasonable and still below market value for a 4003-S.

Nice bass Jim. I was also too late on this one!

It's the only 4003S in Red I've ever seen or heard of, and I've been watching for around 7 years now.

Happy Birthday

Enjoy it!

Scott,
Good eye, it is indeed Bass North West.

I spoke at length to Evan (one of Bass North West's owners) yesterday regarding this, and indicated that this was indeed the one from Criaglist, my best guess is that, he, or a friend of his snapped this up fast from the owner then resold to Bass Northwest. He confirmed that a "friend" had snapped this up from the owner and then gave (sold) it to him.

Still in all a great deal, and the neck on this one is as good as my old (oh why did I ever let them go) v63's, sadly this one doesn't have the lovely horseshoes that I really like, but still plays and sounds wonderful.

Let me know if you'd like to arrange to meet up, we've a few Forum members in the area and it'd be great to visit.

Rgds,
JimG.

Hey Jim,

I'd be into meeting up with you and some other NW Rick'sters!

When I-5's clear, I can make it from Corvallis OR. to Seattle in about four and a half hours.

I did a couple "Turn-Around" day trips to Seattle in 1997, when I got my Alembic Persuader from Bass NW.

You can see my '72 Fireglo then!
