In theory I would expected a 7.4k DC pickup wired in paralell with two 250k's to be resulting in 7k. Why I measure less is a bit strange.

It would depend on the position of volume and tone pots. Also if you have one or two pickups selected.

I measured only with bridge PU selected and volume/tone pot set to max. resistance ( full volume & full bandwidth).

Remember that the position of all pots will affect the reading since they are wired between the selector switch and the output jack. I will make an attempt to duplicate this for you on my C63. Stay tuned.

All pots is set to maximum resistance but I am not sure if the blend pot was.

I think I see your point. According to the wiring the neck volume pot is always connected in paralell no matter selector position ?
I guess the blend pot is not affecting measurements when the selector is set to bridge position but maybe the neck tone pot does ?

To get a true reading of the resistance of the pickups without desoldering them, you need access to the control cavity. The pickups are soldered to the selector switch. If the switch is set to the pickup not being measured, this removes that pickup from the volume controls. The tone controls are still attached, but the tone capacitor will block it from the measurement path.

With all 5 of the pots at the max position I measured 6.65k ohms at the output with the selector in the neck position on my C63. The reading of the bridge pickup gives a false read (157.4k) due to the in-line cap. Measurements were made with a Fluke 87 III DMM.

I have now redone the measurements on both 360/12v64 2000 model and 660/12 2004 model. With the 360/12v64 2000 I get 5.8kohm and with the 660/12 2004 I get 6.8k . The measuring device might not be 100% calibrated as its 15 years old and has never been calibrated. As I do not get false reading from the pickup I guess the in-line cap could be missing. Need to check the wiring detalis when I got the time. Sounds simply amazing anyway so in the end I do not care to much about the figures

360/12v64 sound quite different compared to the 660/12 but that must be the hollowbody creating the warm sound. Not sure if I will keep the 660/12 forever. Might be wery tempting to use the 660/12 in a swap deal for a used 360/6. Seems like all used 360/6 or 330/6 over here has got high gain pickups. The 325 is also hollowbody but without the soundhole. Will a 325 give the same warm sound ? 350 is also an option if shortscale is a bit tricky. I can find used 350's over here to a sensible price.
