Cool song. As I said, this guitar came out of Florida. Pretty distinctive wood coloring. Just thought I'd run it by you to see if you recognize it.

Probably my '74 4005WB and my '99 425v63, both Burgundyglo. The Jetglo Carl Wilson 6'er I had was pretty sweet as well.

I'm letting my 365OS go (deal already underway..)....it's not even gone, and I KNOW I'll regret the heck out of selling it. That's life....

I also miss my 1997SPC (now with Dusan), even though I bought a real RM....

...and I had a cool TUR 360/12v64 that was really cool, but I had to sell awhile back, and will likely be a long time until I see another!!

I had an early 60s 425FG(in my avatar)that was an awesome playing, killer sounding guitar. I traded it for a 67 330MG(even though I really wanted an FG)because the 330 was my dream Rick. I had the 330 for a little while, only to discover that the guitar was originally FG, and someone had refinished it. The neck was slimmer, no varnish on the fingerboard, and the 5th knob didn't work. Oddly enough, a couple of weeks later I had some friends over and was playing "My Generation" on it gently and unplugged, when the neck snapped off . I took it back to the shop I traded my other in at, and it was gone. The shop inexpensively fixed it, but I traded it for a Mosrite at the shop next door, as I was afraid of this guitar now. The Mosrite was very cool, but I wish I had that 425 instead. I'm still looking for one, but since they issued that George Harrison one, they are way out of my current price range.

Jake, as I mentioned in the other thread- didn't your Dad place a "no sale" hold on that TP last year? Bummer man, it's a beaut. Remember, the TP is:

1) Limited Edition (rare- won't be made again)
2) 12 strings (which the Gretsch won't be), even if a 360/12 will
3) Entirely different from your other ric
4) the ONLY limited edition model from your favorite artist (I presume..)

What do I miss most...Every guitar and Bass I foolishly sold for way too little money only to see them skyrocket in value years later!! I then burned the money on some other crazy vice I happened to have at the time. I really wish the 45 year old me could have come back to talk to the 22 year old me, I'd have definitely made some different decisions! I'm told that when you die you get to see a ledger book showing how much money you actually blew in your life...man is that gonna sting!!

My very first Rickenbacker. I was playing in a band in Miami and we did lots of Beatles,Byrds,Petty, etc. so I bought
myself a beautiful 360/12 WB MG. This was about 1989 so it was probably an early 80s model. I got frustrated keeping it
in tune ( we did a lot of outdoor gigs in So Fla and the humidity is killer ) so I sold it to Raul Malo of the Mavericks ( Mavericks
bass player Bobby Reynolds was our lead guitarist/singer ). That guitar won them a Grammy with "Crying Shame". It's probably
in a display case somewhere right about now.

You're not going to believe this, but that guitar was sold to and by Action Music in Arlington, VA. I played it and heard the story from Matt, the owner. Not sure if it was bought from the guy in the Mavericks, but that was apparently the guitar played on the record.
There were a lot of scratches on the back, and we joked that it was probably from rheinstone cowboy shirts . This was about a year or so ago and it's now sold. No idea where it went, or if the new owner realizes the history of the guitar. Matt might remember if you want to give the shop a call.

great story craig!!! i guess the ric i would like to have back is the 75 360/6fg with a bigsby that guitar had the best neck i have ever put my hands around.

What kind of pickups are on that 360?

I really dont remember what kind of pickups it had. Buckle rash is a strong probability.......we were the house
band at a club downtown called the Firehouse Four......played there nearly every Friday night for happy hour. All
the people working downtown hit the Firehouse after work on Friday night and we'd get hundreds and hundreds of
very drunk yuppies. We used to play outside on the sidewalk. Anyhow, half of our pay was beer......I didn't take
near as good care of my instruments back then.
