Seriously, who would've thought the early '90s was such a good time for RIC? This '90 V63 I have is top banana.

So what are these things worth? The price doesn't seem unreasonable to me but I don't know how rare these guitars actually are. Don't often see them advertised and there aren't many in the registry.

Apparently I'm a self-righteous a-hole. But I already knew that.

This gentleman had this guitar listed for 3 weeks on Kijiji when I contacted him the middle of last week. We agreed on a price of $1250 including shipping on Friday afternoon around 1 pm. By about 1:30 pm he was obviously having second thoughts about the price but rather than actually calling me up or e-mailing and saying 'Dave, I'm having second thoughts and I don't think I can let it go at this price', he misled me.

Personally, I would have been fine if he'd been honest with me and told me he wanted more money.... but if he's going to lie and tell me and tell me that 'something came up', come on.

If anyone here bought this guitar for $1440, I know you can do better. Never too late to back out of the deal since his word is obviously not worth as much as his guitar.

Dave: I can see that you are passionate about guitars and I join with you in this regard.

I want to mention, however, that this forum is not the place to provide information about disagreements with others who may not have given their permission to have their comments posted here.

As a consequence you will see your post edited. Should you wish your remaining comments edited please let me know.

Well it doesn't really make sense anymore, so if you want to take it down go ahead. I am trying to protect others from dealing with this individual in case someone from this forum was planning to buy that guitar from him. He lied and misrepresented himself throughout the entire transaction (supposedly he himself didn't know much about guitars) only to find out he's a regular eBay seller that has sold numerous guitars and equipment in the past. Now that I've caught him lying he's resorted to name calling.

The eBay link is still here on the thread, people can find out who he is on eBay anyway. Buyers beware.

Thanks Dave. I understand why you wanted the information here. It was a goodwill gesture to others who may find themselves in the same position. I just don't want RRF in the middle here. I realize it took quite a while to get the text right and I apologize for the edit and your understanding.

Thanks for the info, Dave. There may not be many of this vintage of 320 out there, but they're not very desirable guitars. The modernization of the 325 doesn't make it much of a looker.

I know exactly where you're coming from Peter, I've run few forums myself and know all too well what it's like to get caught in the middle of someone else's debate. Good work on the second edit though, that works better. 8)
