Yep, mostly basses, and mostly with super-thin necks. A nice selection of guitars as well though, between Jdog's and Paul M's stuff! Love the Carl Wilson/McGuinn hybrid.

The Maurice Gibb RM is unreal. Wonderful neck and nice full sound (not counting the degaussed horseshoe!). Tony's '71 Burg is a close second. That one needs to find it's way to me real soon.

Nothing, however, compared to the Casio guitar.

That one would be so cool to take for a spin! Andy - try the rare earth magnet trick on it.

Yes, the Minutaglios came by on Saturday, and John brought a 4003S/8 Redneck and a Mando Guitar. I think we had 45 guitars and basses all together, and all but about 10 were Ricks. I'll try to think of them all later and post. Gotta get to work now though, d'oh!

Nice pictures, everyone! I would like to have been there, but at least I got to South Florida two weeks ago, where I was able to have a "mini-SERF" with Tony and Janey. Hat's off to them, they're the greatest people, and I'm sure jdog had a wonderful event as well.

More Pics!!!

I had a great time, although I was only able to stay Saturday, then had to get back to ClearH2O. But it was really nice to meet everyone. True, there were an overwhelming number of basses on hand (personally love the white '64, but that's typical of me). However, JDog's '58 Combo 400 more than made up for the disparity. I've never played a tulip before but looking at the thick slab, beefy neck and aluminum trim, I knew it had to be a player. I was quickly hooked. And it is a "hook" guitar too.

It was nice running into John Minutaglio again and catching up on his AC30/4 project - John, put that bad boy in a Fawn cab! I want to see it at TONEfest this year.

Thanks Nick. You're officially one of the family now, everyone loved meeting you. We'll get in touch this week if you have a chance.

Everybody, I want to say thanks to everyone who attended, supported, assisted, cheered, etc etc etc. This was a much needed oasis for me in the middle of what's turning out to be a very stressful year. I'm very glad everything went off so well, with just a few of the usual minor snags like delayed flights, etc. I know I had a blast, and I think it's safe to say everyone else did too, so thanks all you SERFers and honorary SERFers.

Now, about what's-his-name and those beach balls... ah, that's okay, I think, only a few hundred people saw it...
