My 1991 610 was originally much more black... I bought it for $500 when I was recording, and I didn't care what it looked like... Other then the chrome tuners, (which I have) and the pick up covers, (which I don't), it is almost changed over to White Trim...

Here is what it looked like when i got it... The finish was always checked ever since it arrived... Someone must not have let it a climatize before they opened the case all the those years ago... I never cared what it looked like - just what it sounded like... But the addition of a few hundred dollars in parts has improved its look dramatically to me.. (I kept all the Black parts in case I have desire to swap it back at some point.)

Wow--looks pretty "mean" in all-black, and I mean that in a good way! Have you had it refinished? Hard to tell from the family pics.
