His teeth light up when he smiles. Watch closely.

My original handmade sample had a rosewood fretboard. Knowing, however, the wood that the Chinese use when rosewood is specified (which they call rosewood, but which looks like Formica), and never having seen a decent maple board on a Chinese guitar, I specified tinted maple with black clay dots. They nailed the look I wanted.
Haven't tried the Fender neck...I'll have to get back to you on that one.
Ah, right- I didn't think of that! Good idea, that Chinese RW is terrible, no joke.
Knowing your work, I'm sure it's similar enough to sort out a Rosewood 25.5" neck, even if just using a Jazzmaster neck!

Just did some measuring, and either a Strat or JM neck will fit. There's a possibility of a bit of looseness or tightness in the pocket fit from side-to-side due to paint thickness, but that is very easy to remedy.
I'm building a pair of these for George and I, with Novak vintage Jag pickups and Jag vibratos, and single (lead) Jag circuitry. They'll be our second set guitars, for twilight or nighttime work.

I'd like to be the envy of all of my friends and the first on my block, but will a lefty be available?

I really enjoyed the video on the Waterstone site Paul! And that Vladimir Putin sure plays a mean lead guitar/mandolin!

We've got one of everything in the band. Everyone but George is playing against type.

I have tried so hard not to like these instruments but they are really fab.
As a Waterstone (and Paul W fan) these will be hard to resist...
Perhaps the bass should have had a reverse body, It would look a little more thunderish!

Into Thunderbirds are we, Eden?
I think T-Bird basses are pretty kinky, but I keep on thinking about Jeff Rath's old Fenderbird...whatta beauty...

A little perhaps but to be honest I think you have the design about right, and it suits Waterstone's "retro futuristic without being cheesy" style
I may just go for one of them basses....

Paul, is the lightshow circuit frequency triggerd or dynamicaly triggerd?
If the bass was strung BEAD would the light circuit work fine?
Does the bass have the same circuit as the guitar?
Eden.
